Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Certification Engineer with strong experience in information security certifications. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience managing and executing security certifications, including ISO and SOC 2. This role requires a critical thinker with excellent communication skills who can effectively translate complex security requirements into actionable tasks for technical teams.
ResponsibilitiesManage the end-to-end process for obtaining security certifications, including planning, internal audits, and preparing teams for third-party external audits.Drive the third-party audit process and collaborate with teams to handle any necessary remediation activities.Develop controls and test procedures for new security certification requirements.Conduct risk assessments to identify risks and determine appropriate mitigation controls.Build and execute internal audit plans with defined test controls.Stay up-to-date with current certification standards, including ISO and SOC 2.Understand and address security requirements in cloud business models like Software-as-a-Service.Ensure comprehensive security coverage for applications and infrastructure, including web applications, containers, virtual machines, and network devices.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in an information technology discipline.Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with information security certifications (ISO, SOC 2).In-depth understanding of certification requirements and standards.Prior experience in managing and executing security certifications.Knowledge of security technologies such as network security appliances, identity and access management systems, anti-malware solutions, file integrity monitoring systems, and security scanning tools.Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with industry processes and regulations (ISO, NIST, CSA).Additional Skills & QualificationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.Ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to convert stakeholder requests into actionable technical tasks.Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure.Adaptability to changing environments and situations.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience in managing projects and collaborating with teams across different time zones.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
