Certification Management Team Lead

About the role:

Are you ready to lead a dynamic team? We are looking for a motivated leader to lead our certification credit reporting team. In this role, you will be leading our team that takes care of our certification credit reporting. The credit reporting team takes care of the requirements set by sustainability certification standards linked to credit reporting including confirming incoming and outcoming credits on external portals, creating reports of purchased and sold volumes, reconciling between internal and external data, answering customer questions, and virtually attending audits from the certification standards. The team plays an important role in maintaining Barry Callebaut’s sustainability certifications  (e.g. Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, etc) and is key for us to reach our Forever Chocolate goal. 

 

Key responsibilities:

Team Management

Managing the credit reporting team. Overall responsible for delivering daily, monthly, and yearly targets by the team. Responsible for the development and performance review of team members. Maintain a high-quality work environment and motivate the team. Plan and assign work activities across team members and follow up on tasks allocated. Mentor and coach employees to ensure effective work management.

Process owner

Process owner for the tasks of the team (credit reporting in external portal, reconciliation, internal reporting, audits). Identifies and introduces process improvement, establishes and manages process training, creates robust backup structures, and maintains up-to-date documentation. Build and manage internal checks on data accuracy and provide constructive feedback. First point of contact for the team's questions and process escalation. Liaise with other stakeholders within and outside the company. Support the team with their reporting tasks, if needed.
 

About you:

University degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration or a similar educational background. Min 8  years of experience in Finance, Accounting or Reporting, and managing financial support services. Min 3 years of experience in managing a team and preferably a team of teams. Experience in working with auditors would be an asset. Experience in account reconciliation and financial reporting. Proficient in English (spoken and written). Technology skills, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel & Power Bl), SAP, and BW are a plus. Knowledge of VBA coding is an advantage. Solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical abilities. Strong ability to coach and motivate staff, keen on sharing knowledge, effective communicator. Problem solver who can take on an existing challenge, analyze it, align with stakeholders and implement the solution. Proactive: able to operate autonomously and proactively network within the organization.
