Certification Technical Officer Job Locations US-MA-Acton ID 2025-15549 Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Certification Technicial Officer to ensure that assessment activities are planned and performed in a highly professional and technical manner and that customer expectations are exceeded. This role also requires that all jobs are carried out by governing procedures and policies.

 

Responsibilities Ensure contract reviews and file reviews are being processed within set department timelinesEvaluate Audit Reports and associated documents to support certification decisions, recertification reviews and surveillance suitability for AS9100, AS9110, AS9120 and other related Aerospace standardsEvaluate application, quotes and associated documents in Contract Review process for AS9100, AS9110, AS9120 and other related Aerospace standardsDevelop file review outputs through process feedbacks (training needs)Review accreditation requirements for impact to NQA, USA’s programs (ANAB interpretations of ISO 17021-1, AS9104 and other oversight standards)Develop/Implement annual company training plans (internal/external) via NQA Training PortalSupport Quality/Operations/Business development departmental needsSupport Quality in auditor competence criteria processCapture information from industry experts, including NQA Business Unit Managers for inclusion in NQA, USA OperationsSupport the semi-annual staff training seminars and webinars including content and presentationsConduct audits to ISO 9001 at a minimum; Aerospace audits if qualifications are in place Skills / Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree3-4 years of experience working with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100, as a quality engineer, quality manager, internal auditor or quality control inspector or working in an environment where ISO 9001, and other related Aerospace Standards were implementedWork experience with a quality/aerospace management system related companyKnowledge of Microsoft Office and computer programs (database awareness)Data driven decision makingExcellent administrative skillsExcellent written and verbal skills
