Job Summary
This position is for an Athletic Trainer inside of a fast paced Outpatient Physician Clinic. Under general supervision of a Physician and in compliance with legal aspects of patient care activities and guidelines that impact practice, and according to established policies and procedures, develops and administers established treatment plans for physician clinic patients. In collaboration with the Physician, develops exercise programs and assesses patient progress through the program.
The athletic trainer will be able to perform the following functions: prevention, assessment, treatment and reconditioning and rehabilitation of injuries as set forth by the NATA Certification (BOC).The athletic trainer will be able to carry out all prescribed treatments and recommendations made by the Physician. Works as a team with the Physician to schedule patients, and develop/perform treatment programs.Provides appropriate assessment/documentation of patient progress and perform patient billing procedures.
