Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant within the Department of Restorative Dentistry of the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM).

The Certified Dental Assistant will perform chairside and deskside duties within the Prosthodontics Postgraduate Program clinic. The Certified Dental Assistant will also assist during examination and treatment of patients and dispense dental materials and instruments. Additionally, the Certified Dental Assistant will be responsible for clerical tasks, sterilization duties, and other miscellaneous functions to support the program. On an as-needed basis, the Certified Dental Assistant will also serve as the dispensary clerk.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Takes, develop and mount x-rays; maintains x-ray solutions and developer along with the maintenance of x-ray cleaning log. Charts examination under the direction of the doctor. Assists in implant procedures. Maintains inventory of implant components. Serves as backup sterilization assistant, cleans ultrasonic units as needed. Prepare clinical kits for students. Prepare unit for provider and patient. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week 35 Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
