Overview We are seeking a Certified Industrial Hygienist/Project Manager to join our Safety and Industrial Hygiene team in Windsor, CT with 10+ years of experience in the indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, safety and hazardous building materials industries, and be accredited as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). This individual may work from varied locations in Connecticut. Responsibilities Develop, manage and conduct indoor air quality and industrial hygiene assessments. Develop industrial hygiene sampling programs and create exposure assessment profiles. Develop, manage and perform moisture intrusion/mapping and microbial assessments, including preparation of work plans for remediation efforts. Manage and perform IH assessments and develop hazard control recommendations relative to Ventilation, Noise, Radiation, PPE, Toxic and Hazardous Substances, Mercury, Odor/VOCs, Nuisance/Combustible Dust, Silica, Process Safety Management, Health & Safety Management Systems and Construction /Occupational Safety. Manage and perform testing and mitigation design services relative to airborne and waterborne Radon. Interact and communicate with clients, contractors and regulatory agency representatives. Prepare investigative/assessment reports. Prepare project specifications and drawings. Mentor and teach junior field staff. Coordinate and interact with other CIHs & CSPs throughout the Building Sciences Practice nationwide, including both the Industrial Hygiene and Safety Services National Service Leaders. Travel throughout Massachusetts and greater New England expected. Conduct Business development, prepare proposals, manage projects and invoice for services Coordination, management and execution of regulated materials surveys for asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint PCB's, universal wastes etc. Preparation of regulated materials survey reports, abatement specifications, work plans, and Operation and Maintenance programs. Manage regulated materials abatement oversight and air monitoring services Qualifications Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) accreditation is required. Minimum of an Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering related field. 10+ years of experience in the, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, safety and hazardous building materials industry. Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Microbial Consultant (CMC) licenses are preferred but not necessarily required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Adaptability and flexibility to manage various work schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios. Intuitive and creative thinker. Understanding of their surroundings and reason the services are being provided. A consultative demeanor and ability to work with customers / clients and offers solutions when needed. Work as a team player, coordinate with others within the practice group and instruct/teach junior field staff. Must be able to price services, prepare proposals, manage projects/clients and manage staff assigned to project. Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical and motor vehicle records check. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
