The starting rate for this position is: $24.95 The rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. Job Summary Responsible for a variety of interpretation, transliteration, and medical escort services to assist culturally deaf, oral deaf, deaf-blind, and hard of hearing patients, their families, and health care providers in a variety of patient care settings including remote video/audio interpreting. The certified and licensed American Sign Language interpreter must be able to work with diverse populations from various economic backgrounds and age groups. Job Requirements + State-issued interpreter license + A Driver’s license with a driving record suitable to Covenant Health Systems operations and corporate risk management is required. + Graduated from an Interpreter Training Program (ITP) with an associate degree or higher from an accredited institution of higher education preferred. + RID National Certification preferred + Previous experience in a health care setting preferred Covenant Health Mission Statement We are a Catholic health ministry, providing healing and care for the whole person, in service to all in our communities.
