Position Overview: We have a potential opening for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor. This role involves a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare examination rooms prior to patients' arrivalAssist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directedCheck patients' vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, and blood pressureObtain and document patients' current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct formPerform diagnostic procedures when orderedMaintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination roomsComplete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policiesEnter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when patient is released

Qualifications:

Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited programProven experience as a Medical AssistantStrong understanding of medical procedures and terminologyExcellent organizational and multitasking skillsOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilitiesAttention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
