The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA ) in the Thoracic Surgery Clinic is vital in providing safe and efficient daily operations in addition to performing front desk duties. The role also includes accessing hospital information systems via the computer and completing patient registration; triaging telephone calls appropriately; obtaining medical records to facilitate patient appointments; scheduling a variety of appointments, and posting surgical cases on behalf of the provider(sprovides assistance in the examination and treatment of the patient, under the supervision of the Physician, Physician's Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner in the ambulatory setting.

Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift, No weekends

Minimum Requirements

High school graduate/GED required. Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant training program required. Three (3) years of clinical experience of which at least one (1) has been oncology experience (preferred) RMA, NRCMA, NCMA, CCMA certification required Active BLS/CPR certification

Salary Range: Minimum $18.00 per hour - Maximum $29.63 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
