The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a clinical staff position with responsibility for specified patient care duties within Entaa Care, a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians LLC. Location is Odenton, MD
Shift:
Full Time (40 hours)
Day Shifts 8:00 am - 5:00pm
Weekend Work Not Required
Education:
Minimum of a high school diploma or possession of GED is required.
Required Work Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a clinical setting or physician office. ENT and/or Allergy experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program
Current training and certification in basic life support (BLS) required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with computerized EMR (electronic medical records) systems highly desirable; familiarity with use of computers required.
Ability to perform routine job duties with minimal supervision and direction.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with staff, physicians, patients, families and outside agencies in such a manner as to gain their confidence and secure their cooperation and respect.
High level of patience, tolerance, and tact in order to deal effectively with people and time pressures.
Professional demeanor, attitude and appearance. 10. Initiative and assertiveness in dealing with problems.

Salary Range: Minimum $19.50 per hour - Maximum $24.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
