Certified Medical Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our podiatry clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for rooming patients, taking vitals, and managing medication prior authorizations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic and providing excellent patient care.
ResponsibilitiesRooming patients and taking vitals such as height, weight, and BMI.Submitting medication prior authorization requests to insurance companies, providing details about the patient's condition and the necessity of the medication.Answering phone calls and providing excellent customer service to patients and their families.Assisting with sterile trays, small procedures, perform x-raysEssential SkillsCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.Proficiency in medical assisting tasks.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with medication prior authorization.Work Environment
The work environment is a podiatry clinic within a provider's office. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The providers sees patients each day from 8am-5pm. This role offers a supportive and friendly atmosphere with no weekend work and holidays off. The clinic is located in Greenwood, Indiana with free parking and a safe environment. The team culture is emphasized with events like food trucks and catered lunches, and there is ample opportunity for growth within the network.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.22 - $25.00
