Certified Medical Assistant
Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) is seeking an **experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, or RMA)** with national certification to join our Center for Pain Management team. Our mission is to collaborate with patients to create personalized pain management plans using consultative, interventional, and non-opioid approaches. As a CMA, you will play a crucial role in providing safe and quality care under the supervision of an MD, DO, PA, or NP. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Be a flexible team member** : Efficiently greet patients, manage patient flow, and communicate effectively about appointment changes. + **Assist with patient assessments** : Contribute to initial office visit assessments by recording health history, updating PFSH, obtaining necessary screenings, and taking vital signs. + **Maintain clinical standards** : Proficiently maintain sterile instruments, set up and maintain equipment, assist with pain interventional procedures, and perform delegated medical tasks such as EKGs, injections, and point-of-care testing. **Requirements:** + **Certification** : Must hold an active national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, or RMA). + **BLS Certification** : Must have Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). + **Experience** : Previous experience as a CMA is required. **About NVRH:** Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is in St. Johnsbury, in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
