NaphCare is hiring Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) just like you at the Polk County Jail located in Des Moines, IA. Pay rates range based on Shift, FT, PT, PRN, temporary contracts, site needs, certifications and experience. We have opportunities for full-time with great benefits, part-time, PRN, and 13-week temporary contracts available.

Responsibilities

Provide routine clinical tasksPerform routine blood drawing proceduresTake and document vital signs, height and weight, assist with PPDs and EKGsAssist with examinations and/or treatmentsAssist with patient hygiene, ambulation and dressing changes Qualifications

Qualifications for Certified Medical Assistant (CMA):

 

Iowa or National Certification is required for Certified Medical Assistants. Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate A valid CPR cardA minimum of 1-year clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred. Office Lab Assistant License (For Nevada only.)
