Certified Metering Mechanic / Technician (Part-Time)

The Certified Metering Mechanic is located in the Greater Toronto Area and typically reports directly to the Engineering Manager. Their primary focus is utility submeter replacement, commissioning, verification. This is a part-time position. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Complete verification inspection of electrical submetering systemsSubmeter commissioning, verification and related trouble-shooting on submeter replacement projectsEquipment inventory, delivery, and return materials authorizationVerification of project design and configuration equipment orderingProvide mentorship to Junior staff on removal, installation and commissioning of submetering systemsTravel within the Greater Toronto Area for project execution

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Post-Secondary School DiplomaFull MEARIE Certification is requiredElectrical Trade Diploma is an asset

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite softwareExperience as a Certified Metering Technician

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License and proof of insuranceAbility to work safely on a construction site (including electrical), inside or outsideAbility to safely work on ladders and lift devices (training will be provided)Willing and able to travel within the GTA
