Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Patient Care Technician (PCT)

MedTrust is currently accepting applications for Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) positions for a full time night opening at the National Institute for Research,  Bethesda, Maryland. CNAs with Maryland Certification only are eligible on this contract. 

 

Selected candidates will receive training on our Patient Care Technician competencies and Crisis Prevention TrainingRequires a Maryland Certified Nursing Assistance certificationRequires 2-3 years of experience in behavioral health and acute care in a hospital settingSchedule is for full time (40 hrs. per week): choose either schedule:(1) evening shift (3p-11:30pm) with rotation to weekends and holidays as needed(1) night shift (11p-7:30am) with rotation to weekends and holidays as needed

Compensation: $18/hour plus $1/hour as night shift dif for all hours worked plus $4.23/hour for benefits.

 

Responsibilities will respond with the Code BERT(Behavioral Emergency Response Team as needed, to patients who are experiencing an escalation in behavior requiring  additional staff support.   will also manage a patient assignment on assigned patient care unit. 

 

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 1 year current experience as a CNA/PCT in a Behavioral / Psychiatric Unit in a hospital setting

 

Certification:

Current Basic Life Support for Health care Providers (BLS)Current unrestricted Maryland CNA certificationMedTrust requires proof of vaccinations or Titer Immunity prior to start
