The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (SOM) in Baltimore is looking for a full-time Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to join its Division of Midwifery. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established group of 8 CNMs who provide full-scope care for our midwifery clients in several ambulatory care offices and at our affiliated hospital, the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) where our CNM team offers 24/7/365 coverage. In addition to clinical duties, the successful candidate will participate in educational activities of the Department for residents and medical students and have the opportunity to be a preceptor for midwifery students. *Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:* * Strong commitment to care for patients from diverse backgrounds * Interest in providing resident, medical student, and midwifery education * Experience and/or interest in collaborative practice within a multi-disciplinary health team * Professionalism, effective communication and continuous practice improvement The successful candidate will be hired at the level of Instructor, Non-Tenure Track in the Department of OBGYN. *Requirements:* * Master’s degree with AMCB certification as a nurse-midwife * At least two to three years of relevant experience * Currently have or eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland Salary Range: $110,000-$160,000 The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the Departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in Departmental variable compensation programs.
