Oregon Health & Science University is Oregon’s #1 hospital. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is part of the health care team in locations throughout OHSU. The CNA provides direct or general nursing care to patients from admission through discharge under the direction of a licensed nurse and within the parameters of the state licensing board. The CNA assists the patient, patients' families, nursing staff and other support staff to assure the delivery of safe, quality care in alignment with the mission and vision of Doernbecher Children's Hospital and OHSU.
The Ancillary Float Pool CNA's travel to all units across the OHSU and DCH Portland campus. New hires to float pool will start in the Adult Acute Care units, and after 6 months gaining floating experience will expand to the ED, ICU and Pediatric units. This position requires strong attention to detail and flexibility as float pool employees do not know which unit they could be placed in on a day to day basis.
Wage Range: $21.81 - $29.09 per hour
Night Shift Differential: 12.5% of base rate
Float Pool Differential: $1 per hour
Function/Duties of Position$3,000 hiring bonus for full-time positions. Must begin work by June 30, 2025 to qualify.
