Summary

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)

0 - 1 years of experience is eligible for up to $2,500 (full time) 1+ years of experience eligible for up to $4,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time ANA/CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

~ 24 Hours a week, 12 hour shifts, 7p – 7a, with weekend/holiday rotations ~

Float Pool

The Inpatient Nursing Float Pool is the department for CNA’s that are seeking a challenge and would like exposure to a broad range of patient acuity levels. The CNA joining the Float Pool is looking to gain or build upon a broad range of clinical skills and knowledge base.

Ability to float between Medical-Surgical Units with focus of Cardiac and Post-Surgical diagnoses, as well as our Special Care unit; which provides great exposure to specialties while continuing to expand your experience and skills 12 hour shifts Build a solid foundation to launch your career in any direction with the skills and experience gained working as a Float CNA

Position Summary

The health care work force of the future should have the knowledge and skills to provide patient-centered, community-focused, cost-effective, clinically- effective, coordinated care. To do these things successfully, the work force must be competent, flexible, and adaptive to changes in health care delivery and technology. Under the direction of an R.N., functions as a team member by performing delegated patient care activities and related non- professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Performs a variety of tasks including cleaning of care areas, stocking and disposal of linen and materials supply to ensure assigned areas are kept clean and adequately supplied.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Completion of a nurse's aide training course approved by the Maine State Board of Nursing preferred. License/Certifications: State of Maine C.N.A license required. BLS Certification required. Experience: One year experience in an acute care setting desirable.
