Job DescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in Memory Care to join our team in Snellville, United States. As a CNA in our Memory Care unit, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to residents with dementia and other memory-related conditions.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mealsMonitor and record vital signs, weight, and fluid intake/outputRecognize and report changes in residents' conditions to supervisorsProvide emotional support and engage residents in memory-enhancing activitiesAssist with medication reminders as directed by licensed nursing staffEnsure a safe and clean environment for residentsCollaborate with the interdisciplinary team to contribute to care plansImplement fall prevention strategies and assist with safe transfers and positioningPromote residents' rights, dignity, and independenceMaintain accurate and timely documentation of care providedParticipate in ongoing training and education related to memory care best practicesQualificationsCurrent Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license as required by the state of GeorgiaHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)Minimum of 1 year experience in clinical/nursing settings, preferably in memory care or geriatricsSpecialized training or experience in dementia care is highly preferredStrong understanding of memory care principles and person-centered care approachesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentProficiency in basic computer skills for electronic health record documentationPhysical stamina to assist with resident transfers, positioning, and other care activitiesEmotional resilience and patience in working with memory care residentsDedication to maintaining resident dignity, privacy, and confidentialityAbility to multitask effectively while ensuring resident safety and quality of careEmpathetic and compassionate approach to resident careFlexibility to work various shifts as neededCommitment to ongoing professional development in memory care practicesAdditional InformationSenior Lifestyle offers a comprehensive benefits plan to eligible team members including health, dental, vision, retirement benefits, short-term disability, long-term disability, and paid time off.
