A C.N.A. Preceptor demonstrates consistent leadership and organizational skills. He/she will participate in training new employees during their orientation to the facility. Using the orientation checklist as guidance, the Preceptor will assist the new employee on the daily care of Seven Hills at Groton residents, documentation, communication and other unit responsibilities. This summary is in addition to the regular C.N.A. job description.
ResponsibilitiesParticipates in orientation of new employees using the orientation checklist for guidance.
Attends monthly preceptor meetings; allowing for no more than two excused absences per year.
Participates in one Seven Hills at Groton subcommittee such as Staff Activities, Performance Improvement or Extended coverage.
Rounds with peers at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure all appropriate tasks have been completed.
Reviews C.N.A. documentation under the guidance of the Director of Nursing or designee.
Organizes and oversees the Resident Inventory Program.
Enthusiasm; enjoys teaching and helping new employees.
Delivers high quality care to residents.
Philosophically supports the work at Seven Hills at Groton.
Has at least one year full time (32-40) hours experience at Seven Hills at Groton.
Is reliable and able to manage time well.
Supports the policies of Seven Hills at Groton and is in good standing regarding these policies.
