Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our Medical Pediatrics team!
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse.
HOURS: Full Time or .9 FTE; 72 hours Bi-weekly. Varied shifts, days/nights/weekends as needed.
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience and completion of a nursing assistant course.One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting beneficial or previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home beneficial.Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry required with current registry recommended.For Float, Palliative Care Unit (PCU), Home Health, and Hospice - Current CNA registry required.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.Annual accrual of CEUs/continuing education requirements per Education Council recommendation for the given year. Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position. Is able to travel to patient/client homes to provide patient/client care.Possesses a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License required.Possesses automobile liability insurance with minimum $100,000/$300,000 coverage required, or $300,000 combined single-limit liability.Employee Benefits:
