We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Post Surgical Care Unit at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI to join our team!
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. The CNA works within the Professional Practice Model of Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience and completion of a nursing assistant course. One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting beneficial or previous work experience in a post-acute care setting or nursing home beneficial.Prior listing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry required with current registry recommended.For Float, Palliative Care Unit (PCU), Home Health, and Hospice - Current CNA registry required.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.Annual accrual of CEUs/continuing education requirements per Education Council recommendation for the given year.Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.Hours: Full Time or 0.9 FTE, 72 hours every 2 weeks. Varied shifts, weekend and holiday rotation.
