JOB SUMMARY
The Certified Nursing Assistant is an essential member of the patient care team, responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care. The CNA partners with patients and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. Primary responsibilities will include: assisting with personal hygiene, assisting with ambulation, and assisting at mealtimes. The CNA will promote and maximize independence in line with the function of the assigned unit.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Valid on the State of Maine CNA registry
EXPERIENCE
+ 1 year previous CNA work preferred
OTHER SKILLS REQUIRED
+ Excellent guest relations and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to multitask and work well in high-stress situations
+ Flexibility is required to provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Will be required to float to multiple units
