All while understanding that together we are even better. **Schedule:** Full Time **Shift** : Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm, flexible schedule **The community you’ll be caring for:** Clermont and the surrounding areas **The role you’ll contribute:** Carries out various occupational therapy procedures under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. **The value you’ll bring to the team:** + _Administers treatments as discussed in the plan of care involving application of physical agents, and manual techniques to improve and maintain function._ _Instructs, motivates, and assists the patient to perform various functional physical activities, activities in daily living, self- care activities, and exercises._ + _Measures and monitors effects of treatment at various stages and confers with occupational therapist to adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit and outcome._ + _Assures that patient treatment outcome is directed towards development and restoration of functional skills and returning to or maintaining maximum potential._ + _Recommends and teaches the use of assistive devices and equipment to patients and families._ + _Instructs nurses, Home Health Aides, and family members to provide for continuous Occupational Therapy program._ + _Observes records and reports on patient progress, reaction to treatment and any changes in patient’s condition._ Qualifications **The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: + Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program with a minimum of an associate’s degree. + Minimum of one (1) year experience. + Must possess a valid Florida occupational therapy assistant certification + Currently licensed and registered in state of Florida + Certified in Basic Life Support + **Must be fluent in the English language** + **Valid Florida driver’s license, safe driving record and reliable transportation** This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
