It enhances our clinical excellence with advanced, easy-to-use remote monitoring technology and 24/7 access to our Virtual Care Center RNs. **Basic Job Function Summary COTA** Provides occupational therapy services to the agency’s clients under the guidance and supervision of the Occupational Therapist, and in accordance with a written plan of treatment established by a physician, and any applicable state/certification requirements. **Minimum Qualifications** + Licensure as an occupational therapist assistant, if applicable, in the state of practice. + Graduation from a two-year college-level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) or two years of appropriate experience as a physical therapist assistant and achievement of a satisfactory grade on proficiency examination conducted, approved, or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service + Minimum of six months experience under a qualified occupational therapist + Home healthcare experience preferred. + Must accept responsibility for maintaining clinical practice skills learning and adhering to agency’s policies and procedures on an on-going basis. + Must be able to function in a practice environment with minimal direct supervision, accepting personal responsibility for maintaining a professional relationship with the agency’s clients and their families. + Must have current Driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work site. + Ability to consistently demonstrate the Organizational Core Competencies and Organizational Code of Ethics and adhere to the Compliance Program. **Essential Functions** + Effectively and efficiently prioritizes visit content and plans visits based on client capabilities, condition, preferences (when possible), physician orders and available resources. + Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal.
