Description We are in search of a Certified Payroll Specialist to join our team located in Signal Hill, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes and ensuring compliance with prevailing wage laws and union requirements. This role is in the construction industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handle payroll processing for multiple ongoing projects within the construction industry • Ensure adherence to wage laws and union regulations in payroll processing • Utilize ADP and Northpoint applications for payroll and reporting purposes • Collaborate with HR and accounting teams on payroll-related matters • Maintain accurate payroll records and rectify discrepancies • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports for ongoing jobs • Manage compliance with prevailing wage laws and union requirements • Utilize experience with LAUSD or a comparable portal for payroll submissions • Maintain a strong focus on detail and compliance in all aspects of payroll processing and reporting. Requirements • Must hold a Certified Payroll Detail Oriented (CPP) qualification • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Certified Payroll Specialist • Proficient in using ADP Workforce Now • Extensive knowledge and experience in Certified Payroll • Experience in construction industry is preferred • Familiarity with construction accounting is desirable Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
