Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Position Overview The Rescue Mission of Trenton is seeking 2-Full-time and 2-Part-time Certified Peer Recovery Specialistsfor our Wellness Center. The Certified Peer Recovery Specialists will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate, navigator and motivator to individuals in the community. This includes assisting with providing access and referral services, conducting workshops, fostering vocational awareness, offering self-care opportunities, organizing creative arts activities, and facilitating peer support. Our clients are assisted by staff with treatment options, medical help, education literature, housing, counseling and mental health treatment. This position is an important part of helping our clients navigate their Substance Use Disorders. Qualifications For Position Education: High School Diploma, GED; Associates Degree preferredCertification: Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Certification (CPRS) Strongly Preferred or must obtained CPRS Certification within 3-months of employment.Other Requirements:Valid driver’s license Job Specific Duties & Responsibilities Administrative• Answering phones• Greeting clients entering the Wellness Center• Maintaining and Updating Resource Information TableClient Services• Obtaining and documenting all relevant individual information• Assisting with the development of individual action plans • Providing resources and support to individuals to help them achieve their health and wellness goals• Assisting with training, workshops, and other educational events• Promoting health and wellness through community events and initiatives• Making referrals to community organizations• Assisting with making individual appointments• Providing or arranging transportation for individuals attending appointments• Following up with individual participants statusDocumentation• Initiates timely documentation of services delivered according to all licensure standards and established policies and procedures• Prepares and maintains records and reports and ensures that all necessary documents are complete• File and print documentation per Rescue Mission proceduresSafety• Tours physical facility to ensure the environment is safe, clean and orderly for staff and visitors• Assists with evacuations during drills and emergencies• Notifies appropriate staff of facility equipment issues Pay Rate: $17.51 without CPRS Certification, plus $1.00 per hour paid out quarterly $22.25 with CPRS Certification A Comprehensive Benefit Package is available Hours: Monday - Saturday - 40 hours work schedule (TBD) Monday - Saturday - 20 hours work schedule (TBD)The Rescue Mission of Trenton is committed to ensuring that all current and prospective employees are afforded equal opportunities and treatment and a harassment-free work environment.
