Job Title: Remote Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Pharmacy Technicians to join our team in the EST Timezone. The role involves reviewing Prior Authorizations for coverage determination and either approving or denying them before sending them to a Pharmacist for final review. This position handles various health plans and medication types, with minimal phone work, primarily outbound calls.

ResponsibilitiesTrack coverage determination requests.Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers.Approve requests based on criteria and enter decisions into the PBM system.Notify providers and members of decision outcomes.Respond to client inquiries and refer requests for specialty drugs.Contact providers for additional information as needed.Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls if required.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma or GED.Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation.Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry.Certification through PTCB or NHA.Registered Pharmacy Technician.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Prior Authorization processes.Customer service experience in a retail pharmacy or call center environment.Knowledge of PBM, Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance health plans.Ability to work with multiple screens and systems efficiently.Work Environment

This is a remote position requiring a professional home office setup with strong WiFi and a closed-door workspace. Equipment including a computer, monitor, and headset will be provided. There is an opportunity to go permanent, with long-term career growth and benefits upon permanent employment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
