Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Faculty Group Practice Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist.
In this role, the successful candidate Performs Pulmonary Function testing which includes Lung Volumes, Spirometries, and Diffusion Capacity. Perform Methacholine Challenges as required. Responsible for performing daily quality assurance on the equipment to insure the quality and validity of the tests performed.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs Pulmonary Function Testing. Performs FVL, FVC, Lung Volumes, DLCO, MVV as required. Checks and validates physician order for testing procedure. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains testing equipment. Generates appropriate paperwork to permit the interpretation of Pulmonary Function tests. Performs Methacholine Challenges. Efficiently schedules patients. Reviews schedule with Pharmacy to insure optimal utilization of Provocholine. Performs Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associate’s Degree or equivalent in respiratory care as recognized by the New York State Board for Respiratory Therapy; New York State Registered Respiratory Therapist license or Respiratory Therapist Technician license,certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT), with CPFT specialty credential within a year of hire; computer competency, including basic understanding of, and ability to work with, Microsoft Windows based pulmonary function software programs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills..
Required Licenses: Cert Pulmonary Func Technolgst, Respiratory Therapy Tech-NYS, Resp Thrpst License-NYS, Ntl Resp Thrpy Regtrn
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years Pulmonary Function Testing experience Preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $47.22 – $55 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
