Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CSN) to work 1:1 in the school setting. The hours are Monday-Friday 8:15am-3:15pm and the school is located in Burbank, IL. Qualifications: + Licensed as a Registered Nurse + Hold a registered, valid Illinois Professional Educator License; Type 73 School Nurse Certification, preferred + Certification from the Illinois Dept. of Public Health in vision and hearing, preferred Responsibilities: + + Assume responsibilities for continued professional growth, to achieve and maintain high standards of professional competence. + Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor and/or District Administrator/Supervisor. + Support and act in accordance with all Governing Board goals, objectives and policies, The School Code of Illinois, other federal and state laws, and professional standards of practice and ethics. + Communicate using current disability-related terminology and Illinois School Code mandated terms an definitions. + Assume appropriate roles as adult model, consultant and health professional. + Demonstrate knowledge of students' needs, including but not limited to: educational, medical, physical, sensory, speech/language, social/emotional, recreational, vocational, etc., as established by a multi-disciplinary team and implemented as needed. + Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all matters pertaining to students and personnel. + Demonstrate effective organizational skills, time management, and flexibility in order to meet students' needs. + Provide miscellaneous school health services. + Regular and prompt work attendance.
