Responsible for activities including, but not limited to decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation including various software applications, assembly, and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and working in collaboration with surgical partners to provide accurate and complete surgical instrumentation and needed supplies.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: High school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Preferred: 1 year in sterile processing.
Certifications:
Required: IAHCSMM or CBSPD certified.

Position Summary
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for processing incoming supplies and equipment. Performs cleaning, decontamination and sterilizing duties, prepares packs of supplies, prepares supplies for all surgery cases, linens, and instruments in Central Services as directed. Must be extremely conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with all departments.
