***This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $5,000*** Certified CS SPD Technician Serving the needs of Garfield Heights and the Southeast communities of Cuyahoga County, Marymount Hospital is an acute care, faith-based hospital. Certified CS/SPD Technicians are responsible for cleaning and maintaining surgical tools and hospital equipment. It is your job to make sure that the sterilized tools are then organized into trays containing the instruments required for routine or special surgeries. You are also responsible for checking equipment to make sure it is in good repair and up to date. **A caregiver in this position works day/evening/night/weekend, 9:00pm-5:30am.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Provide safe, efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly, wrapping and sterilization of all reprocessed instruments and distribution equipment. + Perform case pull functions. + Determine appropriate case carts to be built for specialty procedures. + Build case carts ensuring adherence to procedures. + Dispatch case carts to ensure availability for surgical/clinical procedures. + Perform record keeping, ordering, stocking and inventory control. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + A high school diploma or GED. + Sterile Processing Distribution certification (CRST) by IAHCSMM or CBSPD. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + 1 year of experience in central service/sterile processing areas.
