Certified Surgical Technician Job Description We are looking for a professional, friendly, and highly-motivated individual to be a part of our surgical team. The ideal candidate is someone with exceptional customer service and organizational skills, has the ability to anticipate surgical needs, and aid the team in preparing the operating room for daily procedures. This person should have the mindset that no task is too big or too small. Day-to-day, this person will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, maintenance, and inventory of the operating room, ensuring that patient safety is the number one priority. We are looking for someone who is ambitious, eager to grow within the company, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities + Under the supervision of an RN, assist in the daily operations of the surgical suite. + Verify with a nurse that the pre-operative checklist is complete. + Conduct all preparation, sterilization, maintenance, and stocking of operating room supplies. + Assist RN in preparation of instruments, supplies, and other necessary tasks to prepare the operating room. + Assist in the proper cleaning of the operating room. + Ensure the day-to-day assurance of sterile and non-sterile instruments and equipment. + Assist in ensuring proper storage and handling of instruments and equipment. + Assist in operating and ensuring maintenance of on-site sterilization of instruments and equipment. + Participate in the orientation of new operating room employees. + Ensure the operating rooms are fully stocked and that expiration dates of supplies have been checked. + Participate in the surveillance of quality control measures. + Participate in team meetings and continuing education. + Be willing to learn and to teach others. + Assist with day-to-day troubleshooting and logistical needs. + Proactively identify maintenance issues and address them immediately through the appropriate channels. + Maintain cleanliness and ambiance. + Maintain clear communication with management about operations. + Work alongside owners, advisors, injectors, and team to build an exceptional client experience. Essential Skills + 2+ years of clinical experience, with a concentration in plastic and reconstructive surgery preferred. + Fully certified Surgical Technician. + BLS certified. + A 'no job too small' entrepreneurial attitude. + Strong communication skills. + Ability to adhere to protocols and policies. + Teamwork-oriented mindset with a 'can do' attitude. + Flexibility, dependability, punctuality, and the ability to show empathy. + Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. + Ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Participation in team meetings and continuing education. Work Environment This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday. The work is conducted on-site, with a focus on maintaining a clean and organized operating room environment. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, along with other perks that make this a unique opportunity. There will be a 90-day probationary period for performance.
