Parkside Preschoolprovides center-based and community-based services to families residing in Putnam and Westchester counties. In our center-based program, our school’s primary focus is to serve children with severe communication or learning difficulties and autism spectrum disorders. Our community-based integrated classrooms are offered at the same site, in collaboration with the Pine Grove Country Day School of Mahopac. The Certified Teaching Assistant is responsible for providing classroom support to teacher while assisting students with learning activities throughout the school day. Assist teachers with development and preparation of instructional and curricular materials. Assume a classroom leadership role in the absence or at the direction of the Special Education Teacher. The Certified Teaching Assistant works to ensure the provision of high quality services to individuals in accordance with the agency’s philosophy and goals, as well as state and federal regulations .
