Job Type: Full-Time, 4 x 10 hour shifts

As a Veterinary Technician at VCA Pahle Animal Hospital you will play a vital role in providing exceptional veterinary care to our patients while promoting a healthy work-life balance. Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians in diagnosing and treating animals for various medical conditions.Perform various medical procedures such as vaccinations, dental cleanings, and surgical assistance.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results to aid in the diagnosis of illnesses.Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and assist in recovery procedures.Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and medication administration.Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.Provide compassionate and gentle handling of animals to minimize stress and ensure their well-being.Assist in the maintenance of veterinary equipment and supplies.Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care and customer service.Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.

Qualifications:

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or recent Veterinary Technician graduate or eligible to transfer the license. Compassionate and empathetic nature towards animals and their owners.Ability to work effectively in a team and individually.Commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Compensation: Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
