VCA Jackson Animal Hospital in Medford, OR, is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join their expanding team!

We are a full-service facility offering Preventative/Routine care, Surgery and Dental procedures, Urgent Care, and Hospitalization.

As a part of the VCA Jackson Animal Hospital team, your role is to create a positive and stress-free environment for our clients and patients while supporting the Doctor and Technician teams. Your hard-earned credentials (CVT, RVT, LVT) are valuable to us, and we encourage you to utilize your knowledge and skills. The skills you will be utilizing are diverse and include, but are not limited to:
Collect patient histories and perform physical exams Place and maintain intravenous cathetersWorking knowledge of radiation safetyPerform radiographs and other diagnostic imaging as ordered.Obtain laboratory samples via venipuncture, cystocentesis, and fecal collection.Perform in-hospital laboratory diagnostics including fecals, urinalysis, differentials, and cytologies.Process lab samples utilizing in-hospital laboratory equipmentSurgical preparation and assisting.Anesthesia monitoring.Dentistry.Ability to calculate drug dosages accurately.Maintain accurate and complete medical records.Maintain a clean work environment to include following any infectious disease protocols, and handle medical/biomedical, and infectious waste appropriately.Required qualification: Certified Veterinary Technician in Oregon or eligible to transfer/obtain a license in Oregon.
Compensation: $23 / hour Schedule: Full-time opportunity, 4/10 hour shifts
