Certinia (prev. FinancialForce) Operations Specialist, Planning Services

Gordian’s Planning Services team is focused on helping clients, make data driven decisions around their operational effectiveness and capital investments. We are looking for a Certinia (prev. FinancialForce) Operations Specialist to serve as the system expert, provide best practices and oversight of Certinia to ensure scalable processes are implemented successfully. You will work with internal stakeholders to recommend process enhancements and gain acceptance of the proposed system design. In this role you will collaborate with users and key internal stakeholders to scope out projects and requirements related to Salesforce and the integrated Certinia PSA (Professional Services Automation) tool. This role involves understanding business needs, designing, configuring, and testing Certinia, Salesforce and other related applications. Because this role is internally facing, the Operations Specialist must be able to communicate well with users who have a varying technical ability. As a result, the ideal candidate will need to possess a broach range of business and technical expertise.
Location: Remote
This position works remotely, with 0 to 15% travel. Travel includes internal meetings and improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with IT Business Systems (Certinia Admin) on maintaining the Certinia platform, including user management, security settings, system enhancements and data integrity.
Serve as the system expert, providing user support, best practices and oversight of system architecture to ensure scalable processes (this will also include working with internal stakeholders to recommend enhancements).
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Certinia configurations, integrations, and functionalities ensuring accuracy and seamless data flow.
Keep abreast of certinia updates and enhancements, support release testing and recommend best practices to optimize system performance.
Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize Certinia in their daily tasks.
Consult with business users and leadership to identify current operating procedures/needs and translate those into system requirements then implement customizations/processes accordingly.
Work with external partners and cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges and support in implementing new features and functionalities related to critical tasks like project resourcing/management, revenue forecasting, etc.
Create and maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Qualifications
3+ years' experience working within a Professional Services Organization with strong knowledge of project, resource and time management processes.
Strong technical acumen with a desire to learn new technologies and processes. Willing to become Certinia Certified. Familiarity with Salesforce and Certinia platform preferred, but not required.
Demonstrate a passion for solving challenges by leveraging technology solutions.
Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs, particularly Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; maintain project documentation, able to facilitate meetings, lead project teams, and communicate effectively with peers, stakeholders, senior leadership.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills/ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments.
Dedicated, flexible, accountable, and able to respond rapidly to issues and manage challenging situations with high business impact.
Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective.
