We are seeking a Thermal Engineer to help us develop one of a kind spacecrafts. You will contribute to exciting missions such as Dragonfly. You will join a hardworking team of engineers that conceive, develop, analyze, test, launch and fly spacecraft systems.   Job Responsibilities:  Involve conducting conjugate heat transfer modeling and analysis for spacecraft and hardware using Ansys FluentPerform thermal model validation using test and in-flight dataSupport thermal design decisions with analysis and calculationConduct thermal design trade studies that successfully balance performance margins, resource use, risk, cost, and scheduleCoordinate with all levels of program and engineering staff on thermal design, analysis and test matters
Basic Hiring Criteria:Have a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalentPossess a strong background in heat transfer and fluid dynamicsHave 3+ years of experience in thermal design and analysis using the CFD software ANSYS FLUENT and meshingAre proficient in ANSYS SpaceClaim or Discovery CAD for modeling complex systemsDemonstrate strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams
Desired Qualifications:Have a Master's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalentHave experience with spacecraft or satellite development programsHave experience using the Thermal Desktop software package
