Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a CFO in Oakland, California. The CFO will play a key role in our team, tasked with overseeing our financial operations and systems, including the use of Accounting Software Systems and CRM tools. This role operates within the industry and involves managing accounting functions, auditing, budget processes, and capital management. Property Operations Responsibilities: + Collaborate with teams for financial optimization and to identify cost-saving opportunities. + Supervise budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and capital structure. + Identify and manage financial risks and ensure compliance with regulations. + Administer accurate financial reporting according to GAAP and other standards, and tax planning. + Work with attorneys and title companies on property purchase and sale agreements. + Manage payroll processes ensuring timely compensation and conforming with regulations and tax laws. Estate Planning Responsibilities: + Manage owner’s estate planning activities, ensuring regulation compliance and effective estate/gift planning. + Implement strategies for charitable and philanthropic initiatives. Partnership Accounting Responsibilities: + Manage all aspects of partnership accounting for precise financial management, including tracking partner basis and overseeing cost segregation studies for potential tax savings. + Ensure accurate preparation of partnership financial statements. + Supervise tax filings preparation for partnerships, ensuring regulation compliance. + Collaborate with external tax advisors on complex issues, providing tax optimization opportunities. + Regularly monitor financial performance and tax implications of the partnership, providing insights and recommendations. Requirements + Possession of CPA and/or a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration. + At least 10 years of senior financial management experience in the real estate or property management industry. + Solid understanding of real estate finance, including property valuation, financing, and investment analysis. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organization levels. + High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
