Key Responsibilities:
The CFO will collaborate with the owners and executive team to drive financial strategy and operational success. Primary responsibilities include:

CFO Successor Development: Partner closely with the outgoing CFO to ensure a seamless transition into the company’s financial leadership role. Strategic Financial Oversight: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across multiple entities within the family-owned organization. Taxation Expertise: Oversee all tax-related processes, including strategy development, compliance, and collaboration with external advisors, ensuring optimization and risk mitigation. Financial Statement Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for multiple entities, delivering actionable insights to the leadership team. Accounting and Auditing: Leverage a strong accounting/auditing background to maintain accurate financial records, oversee internal controls, and ensure timely closings. Project Profitability & Risk Management: Manage job costing, subcontractor/vendor compliance, contract reviews, and overall financial risk assessment. Cross-Industry Engagement: Work across a wide range of business fields within the organization, providing financial leadership tailored to each entity’s needs. Team Development: Mentor and support the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA strongly preferred). Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in construction or related industries. Deep expertise in accounting, auditing, and taxation with a proven ability to manage complex financial structures. Advanced proficiency in financial reporting tools, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with experience working with senior management. Strong business acumen and experience across diverse business fields is preferred.
