Job Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our organization by providing strategic financial leadership, maximizing efficiency, and supporting business growth. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of financial operations within the lending sector, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven track record of driving scalable results. This position will be a key right hand to the CEO, and will need to have an executive presence. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: + Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company’s financial vision and strategy to support short- and long-term business objectives. + Assess and mitigate financial risks while aligning financial goals with operational and strategic initiatives. Financial Operations Management: + Oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, treasury, and audits. + Monitor cash flow, profitability, and key performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency and financial stability. Compliance and Risk Management: + Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, particularly within the lending industry. + Develop and maintain internal controls, compliance procedures, and risk management strategies to safeguard the company’s assets. Investor Relations: + Serve as the primary point of contact for banks, investors, and other financial stakeholders. + Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors and key stakeholders. Team Development and Leadership: + Build and mentor a high-performing finance team by fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment. + Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the department. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred. + 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in financial leadership roles, including experience within the lending or financial services sector. + Expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting with a strong command of GAAP principles. + Experience in capital markets, fundraising, and investor relations is a significant advantage. + Exceptional leadership & mentorship, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Competencies: + Demonstrated ability to drive scalability in a rapidly growing organization. + Familiarity with innovative financial technologies or tools utilized in the lending sector. + Passion for fostering ethical business practices and building strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
