Description Robert Half is on the lookout for a diligent CFO to join our northern Iowa client. As a CFO, your primary focus will be to manage accounting and financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis tasks. Accounting & Financial Reporting: + Oversee the preparation and ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. + Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable financial regulations. + Play a key role in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and detailed financial analysis. 2. Internal Controls & Compliance: + Develop, implement, and monitor internal control systems to safeguard organizational assets. + Manage audit processes by working with external auditors to ensure compliance. + Prepare and file necessary tax returns, while ensuring timely payments of taxes. 3. Budgeting & Forecasting: + Lead the development of annual budgets and ongoing financial forecasts in collaboration with key stakeholders. + Work with department heads to assess financial needs and drive strategic initiatives. + Analyze variances and offer actionable recommendations for cost control and optimization of financial resources. 4. Financial Analysis: + Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to identify key performance metrics and business trends. + Provide actionable insights to senior management on financial performance and operational efficiency. + Develop models to support critical decision-making processes, including investments, business expansion, and capital expenditures. + Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements to enhance organizational efficiency. 5. Collaboration: + Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments and levels of expertise. + Work closely with senior leadership, including finance and operations directors and executive team members, to achieve organizational goals. + Provide financial analytics and insights to support critical business decisions and initiatives. 6.
