Description
Our client is a mission-driven non-profit organization. The CFO will play a key role in advancing the organization’s mission through sound financial stewardship and strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead financial strategy, long-term planning, investment decisions, and executive leadership to support organizational goals.
• Shape and influence capital project financing, fundraising strategies, risk management, and sustainable organizational growth.
• Oversee financial planning efforts spanning grants, capital investments, and diversified revenue streams to maximize impact.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and committees (Finance, Audit, Governance) to translate financial strategies into mission-driven outcomes.
• Manage capital projects involving complex funding structures, including public/private funding, tax incentives, and philanthropic campaigns.
• Partner with other departments to ensure funding strategies align with organizational objectives, leveraging expertise in funding strategy, donor engagement, and financial modeling.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care contracts while providing effective oversight of grant management processes.
• Work cross-functionally with operations and senior leadership to align financial strategies with overall organizational growth and sustainability.
Requirements
• Demonstrated ability to project a strong executive presence and deliver advanced presentations that effectively engage and inspire Board Members and key stakeholders.
• Expertise in financial modeling, with a proven ability to design and implement comprehensive, data-driven models that inform strategic decision-making and enhance organizational performance.
• Extensive experience working in nonprofit organizations; expertise in healthcare (including Medicare and Medicaid systems) is highly advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Proven capability to deliver strategic forecasting, data-driven financial analyses, and actionable insights to support long-term organizational planning.
• Experience in grant administration, donor reporting, and funding model development preferred.
