Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a CFO in Washington, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will oversee all financial accounting and reporting, manage the center's relationship with tax authorities, and be responsible for the fiscal management of grants. You will also develop, recommend, and implement accounting and operational policies and procedures, and ensure preparation of all regulatory reports.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing all financial accounting and reporting, ensuring procedures and internal financial controls are maintained.
• Supervising purchasing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting functions of the finance department.
• Directing the recruitment, supervision, training, and evaluation of the Finance Department staff.
• Managing relationships with federal and state tax authorities and government regulators.
• Participating in and providing input into management decisions, providing information, insight, and guidance with respect to financial and operational matters.
• Developing, recommending and implementing accounting and operational policies, procedures and processes that assure organized, efficient, and compliant management systems.
• Ensuring all insurance coverages are in place each year.
• Maintaining fiscal management of all private, city, state, and federal grants.
• Developing, supervising, and coordinating efforts to attain maximum third-party reimbursement.
• Ensuring preparation of all regulatory reports.
• Attending finance committee meetings and presenting the current fiscal situation.
• Preparing annual organizational, departmental, and special grants/programs budgets.
• Coordinating cash management functions related to governmental funding, banking, and accounting.
• Adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) as it relates to the Business Associate Agreement(s).
Requirements • The position requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior financial managerial role
• Proficiency in accounting software systems is mandatory
• Expertise in the use of business systems is necessary
• Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is needed
• Must have a strong grasp of all accounting functions
• Demonstrable experience in auditing is essential
• Must have a thorough understanding of budget processes
• Proficiency in capital management is expected
• Capable of performing cash flow analysis and taking appropriate actions
• Experience in fund accounting for non-profit organizations is required
• Familiarity with experience in Federally Health Center (FQHC) accounting standards is a plus.
