Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a CFO/Controller to join our team located in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a CFO/Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's daily operations, preparing financial data, and streamlining accounting functions. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Prepare and analyze financial statements and operational department profit and loss statements. • Supervise accounting staff, including those responsible for inventory, payroll processing, and reporting, ensuring tax compliance. • Use accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and facilitate business processes. • Engage in cash management control, creating and enforcing cash-related policies within the company. • Prepare financial forecasts and budgets to guide business initiatives and process improvement. • Manage and maintain all business insurance and health benefits, including reports, renewals, and claim assistance. • Provide executive management with comprehensive financial information to facilitate effective policy-making. • Conduct monthly close of accounts and account reconciliation. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and budgeting and forecasting tasks.
