CFO/Controller

Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a CFO/Controller to join our team located in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a CFO/Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's daily operations, preparing financial data, and streamlining accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and operational department profit and loss statements.
• Supervise accounting staff, including those responsible for inventory, payroll processing, and reporting, ensuring tax compliance.
• Use accounting software systems to maintain accurate records and facilitate business processes.
• Engage in cash management control, creating and enforcing cash-related policies within the company.
• Prepare financial forecasts and budgets to guide business initiatives and process improvement.
• Manage and maintain all business insurance and health benefits, including reports, renewals, and claim assistance.
• Provide executive management with comprehensive financial information to facilitate effective policy-making.
• Conduct monthly close of accounts and account reconciliation.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and budgeting and forecasting tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge of Budget Processes
• Ability to prepare Financial Statements
• Strong skills in Analysis
• Familiarity with Annual Physical Inventory procedures
• Experience with Warehouse Inventory management
• Understanding of Food service operations
• Ability to prepare Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience in managing Payroll
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Proven experience in Supervising teams
• Ability to drive Business Initiatives
• Experience in Business process improvement
• Understanding of Accounts receivables systems
