**Job Description:**
**Chair of Gastroenterology – Lahey Hospital & Medical Center**
Join Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC), part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, as the new Chair for its Division of Gastroenterology. The role requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage a team of over 30 gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and advanced practice providers who offer high-quality care for a wide range of GI and liver conditions. The division sees 35,000 outpatients annually and performs 25,000 procedures.
+ Responsible for implementing the organization's most critical strategies and will strive for excellence across all quality measures.
+ Oversee physician recruitment, career development, and performance management while guiding new initiatives and process improvements.
+ Collaborate with other departments and leadership in clinical practice, research, education, and administration.
+ Oversee day-to-day operations and resource allocation.
Ideal candidates will be board-certified in Gastroenterology, have an academic background suitable for appointment as Associate Professor or Professor, and possess strong leadership skills.
