Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

CUSTOMER

Lead a diverse range of stakeholders; communicate effectively assessing potential change processes and diverse audience issues / objectivesAnalyze impacts / risks and provide recommendations to customers, stakeholders, employees, process, technology solutions to achieve business resultsUnderstand, clarify and lead work packages of each assigned initiative / project inclusive of constraints (e.g., time, cost, people resources) and maintain a customer-centric approachProvide recommendations and direction based on the end-to-end customer experience when making decisionsLead and own the project deliverables related to change management to meet the needs of the customer, employee, and business and drive successful adoption of changeAssess and ensure that customer and employee experience / stakeholder impacts are appropriately understood and managedEngage appropriate stakeholders to identify and manage required outcomes of projects for the businessProvide on-going communication to key stakeholders, including the project sponsor, business project owner, project / program / portfolio manager to ensure they are aware of significant changes which impact change delivery against the overall projectRespond to inquiries and escalate change related concerns from stakeholders and partners at all levels in the organizationIdentify and lead problem resolution to ensure customer needs are met for own area as assignedCollaborate with the project manager and business sponsor to identify and ensure required resources are assigned to the projectEnsure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems while assessing options and recommendations for prompt resolutionCollaborate with partners across TD to drive successful adoption of change; e.g., communications, training, process, etc.

Create change plans and activities that drive adoption of changeDevelop change strategies, plans, and activities that drive adoption of change and benefits realization based on business needsWork with Business Owner/Sponsor to identify change adoption metricsAdhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for business areaEnsure respective programs/policies/practices are well managed, meets business needs, complies with internal and external requirements, and aligns with business prioritiesConsistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriateEnsure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situationsConduct internal and external research projects; support the development/ delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audienceConduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/ policies/ practicesMonitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities existLead / facilitate and/or implement actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk /governance issuesActively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirementsKeep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impactsMaintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

BREADTH & DEPTH

Highly seasoned professional role requiring substantial knowledge / expertise in a complex field and knowledge of broader related areasLeads the change management workstream for programs/projects of significant scale / complexityAccountable for own work and sometimes others; acts as an escalation point or knowledge resource related to change methodology / tools for others in their own area or on the project teamResponsible for the quality and timeliness of all change management deliverables for the program / project or multiple workstreams.Consults with senior stakeholders to ensure change management is meeting the needs of the business and project / programProvides advice and guidance on which components of TD's change methodology and framework should be in scope to align with the project / program goals Integrates knowledge of change management methodology with the overarching business strategy and project / program strategy to recommend and implement effective change management interventions, across multiple stakeholder groupsInterprets internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommends course of action and best practices to improve change management efficacyActs as a subject matter expert / lead, integrating cross-function understanding within their own field of specialty; manage team(s) of related specialistsSolves complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop and implement new solutionsUses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify solutionsImpacts the achievement of project / program or business objectives for scoped work Work is guided by policies and industry standards/methodsCommunicates difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across senior stakeholdersWorks autonomously as the lead and guides others within area of expertiseReports to a Senior Manager or aboveActs as the change management lead for Tier 2, high risk, strategic and regulatory projects or programs; may lead on Tier 1

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Undergraduate degreeRelevant Change Management Accreditations7+ years related experience, which may include working in a project environment
