POSITION: Changeover Crew DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Operations Manager/Director of Operations FLSA STATUS: Part Time Hourly Non-Exempt Summary ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Chagneover Crew Member at the Shreveport Convention Center/Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. Under direction of the Operations Manager & Director of Operations, the Part Time Changeover Crew team member's primary responsibilities include the following functions in accordance with ASM policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities + Assist with implementing set-up of conference center and exhibit halls according to floor plans. + Lead and oversee the temporary employees through the set-up process. + Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment such as tables, chairs skirting, pads, pencils, etc. related to set-up of events. + Maintain neatness and sanitation in all areas at all times. + Empty trash receptacles in assigned areas; + Monitor all supplies and notify supervisor of needed times; + Responsible for proper storage of supplies and equipment. + Follow all safety rules and regulations. + Report any unsafe conditions or safety hazards to supervisor immediately. + Perform other duties as assigned by the Set-up Supervisor and/or Operations Manager. + Prepares facility for show including setting chairs, stages, tables and counters as assigned. + Performs exterior cleaning of terrace, steps, parking garage, and sidewalks. + Cleans interior and exterior glass. + Uses equipment as required upon completion of training in safe manner and as directed by operational standards. + Disposes of all waste, including bulk trash removal from hall and participates in recycling program as required. + All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications + Good communication skills; + Must be 18 years of age or older + Ability to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions + Excellent customer service skills + Must be able to pass a background check and meet corporate minimum requirements. + Teamwork oriented -- cooperative attitude is a must; + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines; + Must be able easily adjust to changing priorities; + Ability to become Certified to drive a forklift; + Ability to safely operate lifts and other equipment in a safe manner; + Must be able to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis; + Knowledge of various floor-cleaning equipment helpful. PART-TIME ON-CALL scheduling. + There is no guarantee of hours on a weekly basis. + Ability to stand for long periods of time. + Must have reliable transportation and be able to report to work as scheduled. + Maintain a client service oriented attitude. + Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends and holidays and can work flexible schedules Education and/or Experience + H igh school diploma/GED preferred + One years' experience in a customer service environment Skills and Abilities + Must be able to speak fluent English and communicate clearly with staff & workers. + Must be able to work assigned shifts including, nights, weekends & holidays as needed. + Work independently, exercising good judgment and initiative. + Follow all oral and written instructions including all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules/regulations and emergence procedures established at the facility.
