Quanex is looking for a Channel Sales Director – Millwork and Fireplace Screens to join our team.

The Channel Sales Director is responsible for developing, maintaining, and expanding relationships with assigned channel partners to drive revenue and achieve sales objectives. This role involves working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to develop strategies, align on goals, and ensure the successful execution of sales initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven professional with a strong background in channel sales and relationship management.

What’s attractive about the Channel Sales Director position?

Act as the primary point of contact for key millwork and fireplace screen accounts, resolving issues promptly and ensuring high levels of partner engagement and retention. Develop and implement sales strategies for the assigned territory to achieve revenue goals. Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product management, and customer support, to ensure goal alignment.

What Success Looks Like:

Negotiate customer pricing and terms for short- and long-term sales contracts, including contracts with amortized equipment. Keep clients informed about the company’s product range, specifications, and recent developments. Provide exceptional service to maintain and grow customer satisfaction and loyalty. Stay updated on market trends and competitors’ marketing and sales activities. Analyze competitor products and effectively communicate comparative performance advantages. Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, including distributors, resellers, and value-added resellers (VARs). Prepare and deliver regular performance reports and insights to management, highlighting areas for improvement and growth. Collaborate with partners and internal teams on promotional activities and marketing campaigns to drive demand and increase sales. Serve as the voice of the customer, providing feedback to product development teams to inform innovation and improvements. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with partners, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives. Ensure all sales activities adhere to company standards, policies, and legal requirements. Provide expert knowledge to customers, channel partners, and internal teams, ensuring alignment with customer needs.

Your Credentials:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field. 8+ years of experience in channel sales, preferably within the building materials, millwork or related field. Experience managing independent sales agents or sales representatives is preferred Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Experience in partner recruitment, onboarding, and enablement. Familiarity with CRM systems and data analysis tools.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $170,000.
