About the role:

AvePoint is excited to provide the opportunity for a Channel Solution Engineer who is passionate about utilizing their technical expertise and customer and partner facing skills in the dynamic technology industry. 

As our Channel Solution Engineer, you will work with our partner and sales management teams and be the key technical contact throughout the sales lifecycle. As part of this partnership, you will work in a consultative role to assist the successful closing of new deals by providing technical presentations of AvePoint solutions and pre-sales support to our prospective and existing customers and partners. Alongside this role, you will encompass the collaborative provision of technical training and pre-sales support to our partners. It is imperative that partner support is manifested through the formulation of business enhancement strategies, devised conjointly by you and your partner, with a unified aim to amplify recurring revenue streams for both AvePoint and the partner.

This position is for a Solution Engineer who not only possesses a professional acumen but also an entrepreneurial spirit. You will be instrumental in crafting go-to-market strategies and tailoring new business offerings to align with each partner's unique expertise, mirroring the growth one would expect from nurturing their own business. This position offers you the opportunity to succeed as a channel pre-sales professional and work with cutting edge software offerings. We will provide ongoing training and mentoring to support you on your path to success as a Channel Pre-Sales Solution Engineer.

Key responsibilities: 

Presenting and demonstrating AvePoint’s product offerings relevant to customer and partner objectives remotely and on-site Successfully facilitating Solution Discovery, Solution Overview, and Technical Deep Dive and Training sessions with customers and partners. Supporting AvePoint Partner, Distribution and Marketing teams with their online and in-person events including workshops, customized product trainings, tradeshows, and webinars.  Ownership of technical sales opportunity closure Communicating with prospective customers and partners, assisting and guiding them through their evaluation and selection process Building environments tailored to customer requirements as Proof of Concept during the sales lifecycle to illustrate product capabilities and how they align specifically with customer objectives Participating in writing proposals in response to RFIs / RFPs that showcase how the AvePoint product line can satisfy customer requirements with attractive return on their investment Sharing information with the internal sales and technical teams and also with our partners about our products and the market Helping the sales and partner team identify and understand customer business objectives and organization to best align AvePoint technology Ability to build and maintain relationships with channel partners as well as develop a strategic thinking to align AvePoint offerings with partner needs. Developing partner's and customer’s buying vision for how AvePoint can help them reduce costs and increase business agility.

The ideal candidate has:

BA/BS Degree (Computer, Technology and Engineering majors preferred) OR 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Prior demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain strong relationships with channel partners. Proficiency in understanding partner needs and possess strategic thinking capabilities to align technology offerings effectively with partner objectives. This entails fostering collaborative partnerships and devising tailored solutions that mutually benefit both AvePoint and its partners. Confident and enthusiastic presentation skills A quick and self-motivated learner, capable of proactively taking initiatives without constantly requiring detailed instructions. Advanced business and technical communication skills - can lead conversations to align technical value with client's business needs - must be fluent in English. Holding a conversation in French would be an asset. Readiness to think strategically to help close deals using technical knowledge coupled with sales mentality. Ability to maintain excellent relationships with customers and colleagues. Ability to work individually and within a highly collaborative team. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic and fast changing environment. Authoritative business analysis capabilities Advanced troubleshooting skills

Technical Qualities:

Experience in actual ITPro related topics such as Microsoft 365 management and delivery concept, Teams and SharePoint Online technologies, Microsoft Azure, Power Platform and Entra technologies, configuration and administration, especially for Microsoft Entra ID, Workload ID Management, Permission Management, Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, SMTP, and DHCP technologies Working knowledge of Data Backup concepts, migration topics, adoption, information lifecycle management and governance strategies Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint architecture, components, and configuration, including the differences between SharePoint versions, hybrid architecture and online versions Broader knowledge of server and cloud offerings in the tech industry i.e. Office 365, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud is strongly preferred.
